    Description: Thompson Construction Group is seeking an experienced Foreman to support our Infrastructure division’s land development and subdivision projects. This role is primarily focused on the installation of water, sanitary, and storm systems as part of underground utility and horizontal civil works.

    Reporting to a Site Superintendent, the Water & Sewer Foreman is responsible for leading field crews, coordinating daily activities, promoting a strong safety culture, and ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project drawings, municipal standards, and company expectations. A large portion of our work is located within the Edmonton area.

    Responsibilities:

    • Promote a safe, productive, and inclusive work environment for all crew members
      • Lead, organize, and supervise underground utility crews performing water, sanitary, and storm installation
      • Plan and coordinate daily work activities in collaboration with the Site Superintendent
      • Conduct daily toolbox meetings outlining the scope of work and associated hazards
      • Mentor and support crew members; assist the Superintendent with training and mentorship development on site
      • Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and grades to ensure accurate installation
      • Coordinate labor, equipment, and material requirements to support daily and upcoming work
      • Communicate regularly with the Site Superintendent and Project Coordinator to support schedule, productivity, and issue resolution
      • Track and submit daily hours, production, and field information for reporting and billing purposes
      • Assist with inspections, tie-ins, and coordination with municipalities, consultants, and inspectors as required
      • Ensure all work complies with company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
      • Support deficiency resolution and provide required documentation to site and office teams

    Qualifications:
