Thompson Construction Group has immediate openings for Water and Sewer Labourers supporting our Infrastructure division’s land development and subdivision projects in the Edmonton area.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in all general labour activities on site including backfill, pumping water, Use of plate tampers and jumping jacks and general housekeeping
- Participate in daily safety meetings and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
- Report all incidents, near misses, and equipment damage to site supervision
- Maintain effective communication with supervisors and crew members
- Work collaboratively as part of a construction crew to meet project timelines
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of similar work experience required
- Reliable transportation to and from site
- Ability to work extended hours, including up to 12 hours per day, Monday to Saturday
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is considered an asset
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in an outdoor construction environment
