Thompson Construction Group is currently seeking a Skilled Labourer with painting experience to join our team in the Spruce Grove area of operations. This role combines general labour duties with responsibilities related to equipment cleaning and painting preparation.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Clean heavy and light-duty equipment.
- Perform prep and repair work prior to refinishing equipment.
- Conduct refinishing tasks such as cleaning, masking, surface prep, and paint application.
- Detail and inspect paintwork including unmasking, touch-ups, buffing, and minor reassembly.
- Support general yard duties, assist mechanics and steamers, and complete other tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Maintain a professional, team-oriented attitude and take accountability for task completion.
Qualifications:
- Physically capable of performing tasks involving lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, kneeling, pushing/pulling, and working in varying positions for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in environments with exposure to:
- Fumes;
- Dirt and dust;
- Chemicals/toxins;
- Hazards;
- Extreme temperatures;
- Loud noise.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- CSTS 2020 certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must be in good health and able to pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test.
