Thompson Infinity

In the Autumn of 2016, The Infinity Metis Corporation and Thompson Construction Group (TCG) formed Thompson Infinity, an Aboriginal Contracting company mandated to secure contracts within the Wood Buffalo Region of Alberta, in the Oil & Gas industry.

The Infinity Metis Corporation (IMC) was incorporated in the early summer of 2013 and is the Economic Development arm of the Fort McMurray Metis 1935. It has an active and knowledgeable base of representatives that current work and volunteer within the grassroots level of the local aboriginal community. IMC`s main business focus is to assist its partner companies (with majority aboriginal ownership) in the procurement of contracts within the oil and gas industry to ensure not only prosperity for its members, but to develop its partnerships and allow personal development for members of the Fort McMurray Metis and other local aboriginal entities.

Both IMC and TCG see this partnership as a mutually beneficial relationship. With TCG`s extensive experience and reputation of completing projects within the oil and gas industry in Northeastern Alberta on time, budget and a with world class safety culture, they bring to the partnership their experienced management and professional approach to all endeavors. IMC provides both the partnership and all client’s assurance that all Aboriginal policies and interests will be adhered to and met throughout project delivery.

Paramount to the Thompson Infinity Partnership is the assurance that not only will Aboriginal craft workers be given preference in hiring project personnel, but that managers will be developed from members of the Fort McMurray Metis 1935 to ensure the goal of autonomy for the company.
