Description: Thompson Construction Group has an immediate opening for a Heavy Equipment Fuel and Lube Technician working with our Water & Sewer operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily fueling and greasing of all equipment and support Heavy Duty Technicians with performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. All positions require consistent cooperation with the company’s safety policies and procedures. Responsibilities:
- Comply with all safety standards.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when and where required.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Fuel and grease all equipment daily.
- Maintain service order documentation and assist other maintenance personnel when required.
- Document Service operations and time tracking in accordance with company policies.
- Request parts required as necessary.
- Ensure service trucks are kept clean, organized, always maintained properly and ready for use.
- Immediately report any safety violations and correct unsafe acts or conditions.
- Perform technical inspections and document findings.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance operations when required.
- Oil and filter changes.
- Complete Equipment services on job site.
Qualifications:
- Heavy equipment maintenance experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable safety practices and procedures.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate workflow with crew, foreman and superintendent.
- Valid Class 3 operators license with air brakes (candidate to provide current abstract).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- CSTS 2020.
- Must be in good health and physical condition to perform duties assigned.
- Must be able to pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test.
