DESCRIPTION: Thompson Construction Group has an immediate opening for an OTR Tire Technician in their operations center located in Fort McMurray.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Service all sizes of OTR and mining equipment tires
- Previous experience operating hydraulic equipment used to change tires
- Provide preventative maintenance (inspect tires for wear, cuts breaks, etc.) and make recommendations
- Maintain tools, equipment and service truck
- Perform jobs in adherence to TBCLP safe work practices
- Wear personal protective equipment according to legislation and company policies
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experienced OTR Technician with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Applicants must be 18 years of age
- Possess a valid class 3 driver’s license
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work in the Ft McMurray area and live in remote camps, working a rotational schedule
- CSTS/OSSA or BSO Certification
- H2S Alive and First Aid is considered an asset
- Must be in good health and physical condition to perform duties assigned
- Must be able to pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test
